Bongeunsa Temple

Once known as Gyeonseongsa Temple, Bongeunsa Temple was constructed in the 10th year of Silla King Weongseong’s reign (794). In 1498, Queen Jeonghyeon refurbished Gyeonseongsa Temple at the east of King Seongjong’s royal mausoleum and renamed the temple as Bongeunsa. It’s located in the midst of Gangnam surrounded by buildings and the COEX Mall.

We went there with my friends at the end of Mars. We wanted to discover another temple other than Jogyesa Temple. Bongeunsa one is bigger and more peaceful. It’s known for his huge Buddha. Around the temple, there is a kind of garden where people can walk. It was a chill day after that we went to the COEX Mall to look around.
