Gokokuji, just east of Ikebukuro Station, is a beautiful wooden Buddhist temple founded in 1681 by the fifth shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi in honour of his mother. One of the few temples to survive the bombing of WWII, and one of the even fewer to have also survived the Great Kanto Earthquake, the Gokokuji offers a rare look at a Buddhist Temple built before the twentieth century. Besides the main temple—Honden —the grounds host a large up-kept cemetery with stone pathways, a Buddha statue, and a small pagoda. Makes for a perfectly peaceful spot for an afternoon stroll.
Every year, the temple celebrates Hana Matsuri (Flower Festival) on April 6 to commemorate Buddha’s birthday. The temple is also popular during cherry blossom season as it has many varieties of cherry trees.

Jogyesa Temple

This was one of my first temples I visited in Seoul. People often say that palaces and temples seems to be the same even in South Korea or China. It could be true but for me each place is different than another one because of the atmosphere etc.
During the visit of this temple, we stayed a while to observe people who were praying in front of three big Buddha. So we were able to learn more about Buddhism and how the prayers run through.

Unfortunately during this semester in Seoul, I didn’t use my DSLR (yep, I was kind of lazy, oops), most of the pictures were taken with my iPhone, so I don’t know if it’s necessary to do some articles about that because it was all taken in square format for Instagram. I think it’s better for you if you want to see which places I visited on my Instagram: crackeryourstyle. I almost posted everything on it: my trip in HK, Philippines, Jeju, Seoul etc.

So here it is, my SWAP with Chantal from Likeabyul. I hope you will enjoy it, I tried my best. Everyone know what a SWAP is. So our budget was 75 euros without a special theme. I will try to put the link of Chantal’s article as soon as possible because she gets a problem with her computer..

Chantal gave me this gift from Lush after I filmed the video cause she forgot to give me.

No rain no rainbow

“With everything that has happened to you, you can either feel sorry for yourself or treat what has happened as a gift. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing” ― Wayne Dyer

What’s up, lovelies?

Find my soul

“Don’t Gain The World & Lose Your Soul, Wisdom Is Better Than Silver Or Gold.”
― Bob Marley

If you followed me recently, you had noticed that I was down these days.. Big up to all the people who support and comfort me! I want to thank them, really! They all tried to reboost me! Today, I come back with a new article where I want to put some optimistic and hopeful text. Yay!
Thanks to these past months especially at Zara, I gain self-confidence but each time I go back to school, and see those people, I immediatly feel depressed.. I really want to find myself and especially my soul. Everybody deserve to be happy and find the way they are no matter what others say.
I think that soul is meaningful because it defines in some way your life. In fact, I believe that after living your life, the soul is the only one who can “stay”.. That’s why, karma is really important to me. I try my best to be straighter as possible. Each action determines the next one.
Don’t forget: “Whatever satisfies the soul is truth.” – Walt Whitman.

Seize the moment

“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce” ― Karl Lagerfeld.

I learnt from my experience that each moment of our life is important because we only live once. I mean it’s not only the “trendy” word “yolo”. No! It’s just that time flies so fast that you just have the time to blink your eyes and today becomes tomorrow. Tomorrow becomes yesterday. Plus, each day is different from the other one so it can’t be reproduced. If you miss it, it’s forever gone. So just try to enjoy that period right now you have before it’s too late.
Sometimes, we always ask ourselves so many questions that we just fail the point because we are so busy to think too much. Think about it, our life will be so easier if we just seize the moment and don’t complicate everything by asking so many questions.
I mean, would you be happier if there are not this and that questions to take into account? Would you not enjoy more the present if you are not trying to extrapolate the future?
Just think about that and define what your priorities are.. I just want you to be aware of all these elements because I lived some passages in my life I regreted because I wasn’t enjoy the moment what I supposed to like as much as possible. I asked myself so many questions that I fail the point. So I just wish that you are keen on each moment of your life without regrets. As I said in my previous article named “REGRETS”, it’s better to have remorse thant regrets. That is my vision, everybody hasn’t to agree with me but yeah.
Besides, I want to add that we never know what tomorrow is made so let just live it up and that’s all! Guys, is it not a great idea to enjoy our time with people we love? Spend time with them, create new and beautiful memories that you are proud of. Everyone deserves to be loved and praised!
